Abstract


Objectives: The purpose of this study was to provide basic data to improve job satisfaction among clinical dental
hygienists by identifying the factors influencing their burnout, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction.
Methods: Data were collected from 181 randomly selected clinical dental hygienists in Seoul, Kyonggi, Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Gyeongsang.

Results: The factor most significantly influencing job satisfaction among clinical dental hygienists was education level, followed by location of workplace, consideration of leaving a job, burnout, and organizational commitment.

Conclusions: Efforts to lower burnout and consideration of leaving a job and improve organizational commitment among clinical dental hygienists are needed to enhance their job satisfaction.
